Noodle Partners is a leading ed tech company focused on using technology and outsourced services to improve higher education while ultimately lowering tuition.  Many universities supplement their campus-based programming with online degree programs - especially those at the graduate level - in order to make them accessible to a broader audience.  Companies called Online Program Managers (OPMs) have built a $2 billion industry, selling comprehensive packages of technology and services that include everything the university needs to create and deliver online programs. The downside of working with an OPM is high expenses (60-70% of tuition revenue), long-term contract commitments (7-15 years), a lack of control over the end product ‒ which leads to higher tuitions ‒ and, in many cases, inferior service.

Noodle Partners offers a new approach to online program management. We offer universities great online programming by assembling a team of the best ed tech and higher-ed service providers in the marketplace and working with them to integrate their products and services into a comprehensive, customized solution for universities.  We develop only limited technology ourselves and instead focus our resources on assembling a stack of best-of-breed ‘Partners’, negotiate favorable pricing, guide their integration, manage their delivery, and evaluate their performance against goals set with each university.

About this Position

For each online program, we assemble a team of experts who guide the selection and implementation of agencies and technologies needed to hit program enrollment, retention, and satisfaction goals on a mutually agreed upon budget. The Program Launch Manager serves as the program’s project manager ensuring that the program launches on-time, on budget. This position coordinates all launch activities- including coordinating the Marketing Manager, Learning Manager, Program Manager, Architect, and Developers efforts. This position interfaces not only with the internal team, but also the university team and the external vendors. This position sets up communication systems to ensure that all team members (internal, university, and external) are informed, accountable, and clear on expectations. This position also tracks all launch activity expenses- logging all expenses related to personnel and other expenses to ensure we are staying not only on-time, but also on-budget. The expectation is that with each launch, we launch faster and reduce our launch expenses.

About You

You have

  • At least 10 years of project managing
  • Experience managing external agencies
  • A strong track record of hitting goals  
  • A passion for higher education and creating compelling online learning experiences
  • The ability to navigate complex relationships with multiple partners who, at times, may have competing goals
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to set up systems that keep all parties informed, accountable, and clear on expectations
  • Experience managing through influence
  • Strong organizational skills- this position requires managing several work streams simultaneously
  • Comfort with financial documents- this position needs to track all expenses (related to both employee hours and additional costs) and report out how the program is financially performing
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to work closely--yet respectfully--with a wide array of professionals
  • Experience navigating universities is a plus
  • A desire and willingness to travel during critical launch periods, and to short meetings each quarter
  • A can-do attitude ‒ this is a start-up, which means you must be able to embrace uncertainty with poise
  • A team mentality ‒ as a key member of Noodle Partners leadership team, you’ve got to put the needs of the team first, at every turn  

Compensation

  • This position is full time; compensation based on experience. 
  • Bonus of up to 20% based on meeting all program goals- cost per acquisition, enrollment, satisfaction, agreed upon budget and stated launch timeline.
